What's the deal with the movies?

I mean, how come I can just click on some of them and
then others I need to go to another web page and
register and whatever?
Well, part of it has to do with the fact that Dakar Dag is not a computer wizard and part of it has to do with the fact that things change without Dakar Dag's approval.
Here's the deal. At first, I just put some of the movies on the web site as direct access. This was done by sending the files to a buddy in San Francisco who did this for the Dagger as a favor. It also meant DD had to learn how to FTP files and crap which he had to re-learn every time he did it. Then the Dagger found this place, where, at a nominal fee, he could upload the videos easily with their software and just send you a link. It worked great...for a while, then they changed it! They wanted you to have an
account with them and register and ask for permission to see the movies and a bunch of other stuff that kinda pissed the Dagster off! It used to be easy and DD did not want you to have to register or look at annoying pop ups and stuff, just see the videos and not get hit with any fees or anything.
So, where are we now? Kinda in a state of confusion. The Phanfare people have gotten so much negative feedback about the changes, they have decided change things back to sort of the way they were. The San Francisco buddy is trying to set up a way where the DD can upload the videos to him and he can just attach them to the site.
The bottom line is hopefully, some time in the future, when DD and SF Buddy can get together and have some beers, they can get some of the bugs out of the website.
Face it, this is not making us rich and it was never intended to. It's all in fun and believe it or not, DD and SF Buddy have to eat too, which means sometimes we have to go to work. (Real work).
Here is the bottom line:
Someday we will fix it. For now, deal with it...and have fun!
P.S. For the guy that left a comment that said "this sort of thing should be banned", well, it is in Afghanistan. Have a nice trip! I mean that, I really do.
